Before entering private practice, he worked at the Disability Determination Service in Birmingham — deciding more than 1,000 SSDI and SSI claims and gaining a rare inside understanding of exactly how the SSA evaluates cases. He has since personally represented clients in more than 2,500 ALJ hearings and handles claims at every level from initial application through federal court.

David spent the majority of his career inside the Social Security Administration’s Office of Hearings Operations, rising from Legal Assistant to Attorney Advisor to Quality Review Specialist. Suzanna brings a background that is rare in disability law: before earning her JD, she spent years as a licensed social worker and therapist, working directly with individuals navigating complex systems and difficult circumstances. Austin grew up in North Alabama with deep personal ties to veterans and military families, and that connection is at the heart of why he practices VA disability law.
